MHBS Charitable Foundation
Shows its Generosity

The Market Harborough Building Society Charitable Foundation which was set up to provide grants for worthy causes, donated nearly £7,000 during March to a range of local causes.

One of the organisations that benefited from a foundation grant was LOROS who were raising funds for an eleven single patient bed extension to the hospice.

LOROS is a local charity that provides care and support to patients and their families. They charge no fees for their services so relies on the generosity and support of individual people, organisations, groups and the business community.

Diane Morris, LOROS Fundraising Manager said "I am absolutely delighted that the Market Harborough Building Society Charitable Foundation has decided to support the LOROS Appeal for 11 new single patient rooms. I am very grateful for their support in this very worthwhile project which will further enhance the care we provide to our terminally-ill patients."

Another recipient of a grant was Home Start in Kettering which has been supporting disadvantaged families within the locality for over 13 years and needed to recruit an additional 15 volunteers to meet the increasing demand for their services.

If you wish to apply for a grant please contact Paul Beardsmore on 01858 412663 or email charity@mhbs.co.uk.
