Market Harborough Building Society appoints
Non-Executive Director

Market Harborough Building Society has appointed Nicholas Johnston as a Non-Executive Director of the Society.

Nick is a former Finance Director and, latterly, Managing Director of the Elmsteel Group, a subsidiary of quoted Austrian company Voestalpine AG Group.  His previous commercial experience was with Arthur Andersen, where he qualified as a chartered accountant, Sketchley plc and the Lincat Group plc, where he was Finance Director.  Aged 50 and married with three sons, Nick lives in South Leicestershire and is a magistrate on the Leicester bench.

Society Chairman David Baker commented, “We are very pleased that Nick has accepted our invitation to join us at the Market Harborough.  His experience in the commercial environment and his financial background will be an asset to the Society and help to ensure our continued success”.

Nick Johnston said “I am delighted to have been invited to join such a strong local business as the Market Harborough Building Society.  In my role as a Non-Executive Director, I very much look forward to contributing to the Society’s future development, whilst respecting the traditional values that have served it so well in the past”.
