Market Harborough Building Society has donated £4,000 to LOROS hospice following the recent launch of a special savings account for the sole benefit of LOROS.
LOROS, who treat more than 2,500 Leicestershire people every year, receive 1% of the average balance in the savings account annually. The donation is made entirely by Market Harborough Building Society, and therefore doesn't reduce the interest paid to savers or reduce the balance of their account.
The savings account can be opened for just £1 at any Market Harborough Building Society branch, or online at www.mhbs.co.uk.
Nick Williams, Head of Sales & Marketing for Market Harborough Building Society, commented "LOROS play a vital role in our community and have to raise substantial funds every year to sustain and enhance the quality of care provided. Saving in this account will make a huge difference to LOROS, but will also benefit the saver with easy access to their money and a competitive rate of interest. We're really looking to welcoming new savers keen to help LOROS".
Marisa Spiteri, Corporate Fundraiser for LOROS, commented "We are delighted with our partnership with Market Harborough Building Society, the savings account they have created for LOROS is terrific. It will really benefit the hospice year after year, and it is also very fair to the savers - everyone wins. We want everyone to open a LOROS savings account, so please contact the Market Harborough Building Society today - and don't forget to tell your friends!"
