What is MII?
Our partnership with SFS enables our customers to have access to their unique investment proposition Monitored Informed Investing. SFS has sought and acted upon feedback from clients to devise its unique investment proposition, which places customer service at the forefront.

Through MII you can benefit from market-leading expertise in where to invest – and the reassurance of knowing your money is being continually monitored – to maximise potential returns and help you achieve your financial objectives.

For a minimum investment of £20,000 (per individual or couple) MII offers six firm promises that are collectively unmatched by anyone else, which support an overall aim of delivering you above average returns over the medium to longer-term.

Summary of MII Features

Individual Risk and Reward Assessment
Firstly SFS will work with you to assess your Risk and Reward Profile, so they can recommend investments in MII Core Funds that match your needs.

Performance Monitoring
As SFS’s objective is to deliver you consistent, above average performance within the sectors you are invested in, SFS will constantly monitor your investments’ performance against their peers. If any underperform over a period of time, SFS will reimburse their future MII Ongoing Charge until the performance improves or until SFS offer to switch them to another MII Core Fund. SFS will make no charge for this.

Minimise Tax
If you have unused annual ISA tax-free allowances, SFS’s MII ISA Transfer Facility will make it simple to take full advantage. This quick and convenient process will allow you to invest new money or transfer existing investments into ISAs with the minimum of fuss.

MII Quarterly and Annual Reports
SFS will write to you four times a year to keep you updated with all your MII investments – including any recommended actions to take.

Online Access
You’ll also be able to access comprehensive online account information to keep you constantly informed.

Helping your beneficiaries
In the unfortunate event of death within three years of investing, SFS will rebate the MII Initial Charges paid to SFS. This means your beneficiaries won’t be disadvantaged by MII charges if the worst happens during your early years of investing.

Irrespective of when you pass away, if your beneficiaries choose to reinvest the proceeds of your MII investments with SFS, all the MII Initial Charges will be waived if they don’t require financial advice. If they’d prefer advice they will still only have to pay a discounted rate of 50% of the MII Initial Charge
.

Many of the products available from SFS are not like building society/bank deposit accounts, as the capital value and any income can rise and fall and your capital is at risk. The tax treatment of any investments depends on your individual circumstances and may be subject to change in the future.

Financial advice is provided by Skipton Financial Services Limited (SFS).  SFS is one of the largest, most experienced and trusted financial advisory companies in the UK. You have no obligation to act on any advice given.

Skipton Financial Services will normally receive a fee from the product provider with whom your business is placed. Although you may pay nothing upfront to us, this does not mean our service is free as you will pay us indirectly through the product charges, which will be disclosed separately, in writing, by SFS before you make any decision to invest. These product charges pay for the product providers' own costs and the fee paid to SFS, and can reduce the amount left for investment.

If you are investing through MII, SFS will receive a share of the platform fee from the platform provider. This payment will have no impact on either your investment amount or its performance. If you surrender your investment early you get back less than the amount originally invested.
